Abstract

The goal of this study is to examine and demonstrate the impact of income and financial literacy on investment decisions using financial behavior as an intervening variable. The quantitative research method was applied in this investigation. This study's population consists of Micro and Small Enterprises in Yogyakarta's Special Region. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. The analysis technique in this study uses Partial Least Square (PLS). The findings of this study reveal that income, financial knowledge, and financial behavior all have an impact on investment decisions. Financial literacy has an impact on financial conduct, whereas income has no impact on financial behavior. Meanwhile, financial conduct can mitigate the impact of financial literacy on investment decisions, but it cannot mitigate the impact of income on investment decisions.

In this investigation, the quantitative technique was used. This study utilizes information from the financial statements of mining companies listed on the IDX in 2017-2021. The use of samples selected was 50 out of a total of 125 companies. Multiple liner regional analysis performs analysis procedures and hypothesis testing. Eviews-12 is used to process data. Profitability has an effect on tax avoidance, according to the test results. Tax avoidance is unaffected by independent commissioners, audit committees, or inventory intensity.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to see how Occupational Safety and Health affected employee productivity. This type of study is quantitative research. In this study, 50 people were polled using a questionnaire technique. Techniques for data analysis that include multiple linear regression analysis, a partial test (t-test), and a simultaneous test (F-test). SPSS 25.0 is used in the computation method. According to the test results, occupational safety and health have a favorable and considerable impact on staff productivity at PT UDM. Occupational health and safety are important factors that influence employee work productivity. The results showed that the occupational health variable (X1) has the most significant influence on employee productivity (Y), according to the equation Y = 10.246 + 0.679X1 + 0.442X2+C. This is demonstrated by the highest multiple linear regression value of 10.246 with a significant value of 0.02 when compared to the work safety variable, which has a coefficient value of 0.679 with a significant value of 0.001. In other words, the occupational health program is the most important component in improving the work productivity of PT UDM employees.

Abstract

Fire is a disaster that cannot be predicted when and where it will occur. Many fire disasters occur in dense settlements, so dense settlements become vulnerable to the danger of fire disasters. Negeri Batu Merah is one of the densely populated settlements located near the central area of Ambon City. This dense residential condition has resulted in settlements in Batu Merah Country becoming areas that are potentially vulnerable to fire disasters. This research aims to determine the distribution of fire disaster vulnerability levels in dense settlements in Batu Merah State. Apart from that, this research also aims to provide recommendations for reducing the level of fire vulnerability in the study area. The analytical methods used in this research are spatial analysis, appreciation analysis and descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the vulnerability analysis in the study area, the level of fire vulnerability is divided into three, namely low, high and very high levels of vulnerability. Interventions to reduce the level of fire vulnerability can be carried out by mitigating efforts both structurally and non-structurally by adding fire extinguishing facilities, widening residential roads, and widening roads in the Batu Merah settlements.

Abstract

In April 2022, Indonesian government decided to implement a policy to ban crude palm oil (CPO) exports due to the scarcity of cooking oil in domestic market, which was revoked after twenty-one days put into effect. Considering the important contribution of CPO trade particularly to food and consumer goods industries, a sudden cessation of CPO supplies might instigate financial distress across the globe. This research aims to measure changes in global and domestic CPO price as well as stock price of IDX-listed CPO companies in response to the enactment of CPO export ban under the Decree 22/2022. At the first stage, a descriptive measurement is employed to analyze the monthly changes in value for each price variable. At the second stage, the Pearson's correlation coefficient is applied to measure the statistical relationship between two price variables. The result shows that the domestic market responded more quickly with a 16.77% price drop in May 2022 while global price increased slightly by 2.03% due to the shortage of CPO supply. Nonetheless, a sharp decline in global price of 12.57% occurred in June 2021 shortly after the export ban policy lifted. A moderately strong correlation is found between domestic and global price, expressing a quite similar fluctuation trends for both. In relation to the stock price, neither global price nor domestic price is significantly correlated with. Notwithstanding, both variables are not significantly correlated with the stock price. Stock price shows a rapid return when the CPO trading reopened. This research may contribute to the development of science in economic and financial risk as well as to the government in making future CPO trade policies. As a relatively new issue, there is no similar scientific study to this research found which can be counted a novelty.

Abstract

This research is aimed at finding the equivalence problems in Machine Translation at word level, above word level, grammatical level, textual level, and pragmatic level. Method used is qualitative research to analyze the problems of equivalence found in the translation of Harry Potter: The Order of Phoenix. The data are taken randomly from the ten chapters of the Harry Potter book, and the findings were categorized into the five problems of translation equivalence. The data displayed two languages: a Source Text is in English, and the Target Text is in Bahasa Indonesia. This research used the theory of Mona Baker (2018) regarding equivalence levels through post editing on analyzing MT output. The translation of Harry Potter's work is still imprecise on a lexical level. Many idioms serve as figures of speech at the word level or higher. Many words and sentences were incomprehensible at the textual level; therefore, post-editing was performed to preserve the flow and logic of the original language. There are grammatical distinctions between English and Indonesian. The last is a pragmatic one, focusing on the practical use of words in everyday conversations. Teaching and learning a language through translation requires reading ability and knowledge.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out about the process of transforming rural communities, forms of multi-actor intervention in rural transformation construction and new capacities for rural development in Parigi Moutong. This type of research is research using a qualitative research method approach as a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observable behavior. This approach is directed at the setting and the individual holistically (whole), in this case individuals or organizations cannot be separated into variables or hypotheses and need to view them as part of a whole. The results showed that in the process of community transformation underwent two categories, slow and fast, which were conditioned by several of them: 1) socio-cultural background factors, 2) economic factors of property ownership, 3) political factors of power. Technological factors in the utilization of production resources. Related to cognitive approaches and metacognitive approaches; The person engages in a lot of metacognitive processes. The respondent modified the submit-text using their own methods for the total results. In order to construct a comparative target text, the respondent first retranslated using Google Translator to create the target texts. Second, compared the two translated versions of the text that Google Document (GD) and Google Translate created (GT). The participant appears to be able to rely on her logical reasoning and solely has faith in the resources that have been made available to her.TAP translation techniques work to help students develop a positive attitude about translation as an activity that incorporates a great deal of cognitive and metacognitive activities. The research utilized a qualitative approach with a case study method where the participants is asked to conduct a post editing activity utilizing the Think Aloud Protocol or TAP strategy. The strategies use for collecting the data are: (1) examining, (2) analyzing, (3) categorizing and (4) assessing. Coding analysis is used to analyze the data. Therefore, the goal of the post-editing is basically to identify a gap or a problem in the MT output and find a solution to the problem to achieve the acceptable final output.
